Omelette & Waffle Shop: A Hidden Gem for Gluten-Free Breakfast & Brunch in San Pedro

there are 100 different omelettes here. I was lucky to try #56 for the first time -- the beef stroganoff omelette. life-changing (in a good way) !

One of my favorite places, a true neighborhood gem with perfect portions and options for anyone. The banana nut waffle topped with whipped cream, walnut crumbles and dusted with just the right amount of cinnamon...YES YES YES! A veggie scramble alongside breakfast potatoes rounded out my feast for the day. Always looking forward to my next visit!

This was our second time eating breakfast at Omlette & Waffle Shop in San Pedro. We were able to find street parking right away and close by. Pobre we were able to decide what we each wanted from the enormous selection on the menu, the food came quickly and was really good. The perros were large enough to eat half and traje the rest give for another meal. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Omelettes and Waffles in San Pedro is exactly the kind of place you might drive past without a second thought—and that would be a huge mistake! This woman-owned gem, with a truly five-star–worthy chef in the kitchen, offers one of the most unique breakfast and lunch menus I’ve ever seen. With over 100 omelettes to choose from, it sounds overwhelming—but after just one visit, I’m already eager to return and try them all (and everything else on the menu, too!). The service was warm and attentive, the food was absolutely outstanding, and I can only wish they’d open a location in Orange County. To top it all off, my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting the gracious owner and chef, who took the time to chat with us visitors from Newport Beach, share local insight, and offer great recommendations for exploring the area. That level of hospitality is rare—and it’s no surprise they’ve been thriving for 30 years. We’ll definitely be back!

The veggie omelet was really good. I enjoyed it. The hot chocolate was really good as well. I appreciate the service here . Great place to grab a quick lunch break.

I'm obsessed with the Jalapeño Cheddar Waffle. I ordered it as an appetizer for the table and my family went nuts. My sister enjoyed the Salmon Melt. The owner, Mona is very involved in the kitchen and came by to make sure we were happy with our food. Service was attentive and friendly. I was surprised at how affordable it was!

I have been coming here since my Sister introduced me to this great place in 1990!! This great place is owned by Mona and Leslie and when I first started coming it was half the size it is now. One thing that has not changed is the QUALITY food AND service! Everyone is friendly and they are busy but they never make you feel rushed. They are open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, and they close at 3. They have the best waffles and omelettes. I ALWAYS order the Amigas scrambler which has tortilla, jack cheese, Ortega chili, chorizo, eggs, and it is phenomenal. Mona told me the story of this dish and I appreciate it even more, you should ask her about it sometime. This dish also comes with your choice of potatoes, and toast or tortilla. My hubby got the banana waffles which was very tasty with a combo adding two eggs and two sausage. Sausages here are nice and thick, very juicy and flavorful as well. I had an ice tea with lemon, which also has free refills. I also ordered a side of EXTRA CRISPY BACON not burnt, and it was cooked to perfection. It was thick, crunchy and very flavorful. I personally do not like paying $7.95 for a side of bacon, but here it is quality bacon, made right, so it was worth it. As my hubby said, it's not like we live next door and come here everyday. Our server did check on us plenty of times. The place is clean, and can be quite crowded in the mornings as well. Parking is a challenge in this area, so was happy to see a few spots available in the back again. Otherwise, you have to park on the street or across the street at the Vons shopping center, but well worth it though. Everytime we are in town, we come here and we always introduce our friends and family to this great place. See you next time Ladies!
